HDR (#33271)
This isn’t true HDR, instead of taking multiple shots at different exposures I opted for the easy method of bringing out the shadows and lowering highlights to make the photo a little flatter but leaving as much of it well-exposed as possible.

Rinse and Repeat (#32212)
Decided to get this shot while my friend were at a local pub. It didn’t help that neither of us had any skill in dart-throwing. I think this took 200-300 shots…

Blues (#32038)
I think this was my first attempt at “street” photography. He and his drummer friend play quite often around Northampton, I took a photo of them during the Northampton Music Festival featured in recent posts however my card corrupted and their shots were erased…

Natural (#32030)
One of my first photos of Mia. This is probably the 2nd or 3rd week we’ve had her so she’s around 2 months here and clearly a natural model. The reason I post this photo in my Chronicles is because it’s unaltered – natural. I bent my flashgun to point at the wall to the…

Lumos (#30205)
This photo started something my course-mates and anyone who’s ever been to the pub with me since, loathed and despised. I started experimenting with off-camera flash and portraiture. This is obviously staged but since then I tried to take these photos in situ, without people noticing (until the inevitable flash). I still class myself as…

Clash.
An overdue Chronicle’s post. Saw this person at Kelmarsh reenactment and thought that the attire and modern technology mixture was quite amusing, but the oddest thing to me was the way he’s holding the camera. I’m not sure if it’s just me but if I take a portrait photo, I tend to have the side…

Kelmarsh Reenactment. (#30010)
I was invited to photograph the famous reenactment site in the UK – Kelmarsh. Unfortunately, because it is the UK, their plans of fighting in very heavy chain armour, with very heavy swords, and my plans of taking photos of their hard work from a comfortable-ish seat, were ruined by rain. I still managed some…

Dynamic Portrait. (#29658)
Last photo from the 20,000’s. Playing pool in this pub, decided to take a photo of my friend shaking his head to see what comes of it. Decided to keep it and post it here because although the quality and the lighting is so-so, the way his static shoulders clash with the movement of hair…

Syrup (#28667)
Second post of the day but for good reasons! I completely forgot to make a Chronicles post last Tuesday, also I’m testing posting time vs. likes and didn’t want to leave too big a gap between posts. I was really running out of photo subjects (as you’ll also see in next week’s post…). The mug…
