I hate spiders.
Slowly getting over irrational fears. This one is perfectly rational though, I mean… SPIDERS! This one I could handle though, a whole 1cm of spider! Needed some practice in insect macro in preparation for my formica rufa documentary and luckily got the mandibles in focus here.

Danglelion
Nothing better to break up revision than some macro photography in the ‘garden’. I say that because the thing outside my door is about as close to a garden as this is to a healthy dandelion. In related news, loving the Canon 100mm f2.8L. It really makes the most boring shots a little more interesting.

Another project to be retried. I mostly saved this for the idea. Set a self timer on the camera, drench a broken keyboard in water (on the second attempt all keyboards will be) and shake it up and down. I would like to attempt this with my hand on the keys to create the effect…

100th Post: Laser Show (#20000) (#20014)
Quite a coincidence that my 100th post starts off with a nice round number! I photographed this laser show which was a part of an Art project by a few guys from northampton. Basically they shot a 50W laser from the top of the “National Lift Tower” (yup, that’s a thing) across the whole county.…

Live
I love taking photos of rain. I could never capture the droplets with just the right amount of movement but not so big as to make them smudges. Also learned how to mask digital noise a little better than before. The smoothness becomes a bit obvious on the table but I’d rather have that than grain.

Common Pigeon
Not what I expected to see at a Nature Reserve but he made a nice photo considering the weather was just as common as he was – overcast with a 100% chance of rain.
