Macro Week #5 – Day 1: Hung.
Ever since getting the macro lens I’ve been paying attention to flowers more. I love how this vine pours it’s stems down and hooks up with this purple flower.

Day 6: Isolate.
One of the rare times when I don’t abide by the rule of 3rds. Would also like to send a big Thank You to the (now 101) followers that helped me reach the 100 milestone yesterday – on my birthday! That’s quite some timing!

Day 5: Unnoticed.
I also didn’t notice the small bug on the stalk when taking the photo and truthfully, if I hadn’t spotted it in Lightroom I wouldn’t have posted the photo. Day 3: A Bug’s Life.
2nd of 4 rose photos this Macro Week. The small size of the bug I think actually adds to the delicacy of the rose.

Day 1: Wicked Fruit.
Unannounced, comes the 4th Macro Week. Friday is the new Monday so here’s the first of 7 street-macro shots I took. I say ‘street-macro’ because all of these are taken of front garden plants or in one instance a tree. Just want to show that to take macro photos you don’t need to have plants…

Day 7: Bryophyte.
This post concludes Macro Week #3. Next up are some more toy soldiers. Here I was going for a minimalist, almost studio-like look. Similar set-up to shutterpresser.com/2014/07/19/day-4-thistle with a radial filter brightening the left side along with the moss, to form a gradient.
