Day 5: Own Garden.
This is taking garden-creeping to the next level. Taken at an allotment centre, with 10s of gardens next to each other and lots of flowers/plants to photograph. I don’t have all that many photos to show though. It was quite rainy hence the water droplets but during editing I managed to figure out how to…

Day 4: Purple Veins.
More from creeping into people’s front gardens. Love overcast days for the soft light they give on flowers. Makes nice, smooth images. The plant looks like it should be the flower of beet plants.

Day 3: Stalk Dead.
Bit of a creepy title but it’s a bit of a creepy photo. Again, not a clue what plant this is but it looked cool so I clicked the button and made this. The distortion is done by my favourite thing – foreground subject blur, where the thing is so close to the camera, the…

Day 2: Hanged Red.
As I’ve said before. Please feel free to comment with the name of the flower, I’d love to know and look stupid showing these otherwise… Alike many others, this shot is from the street, looking into peoples gardens…

Macro Week #6 – Day 1: No Place I’d Rather Bee.

Day 5: Rest.
Playing around with shadows and highlights I tried to get a bloom-like effect out of the photo, making it similar to the graphics of the game ‘Trine’.

Day 4: Not Flowers!
Very few Macro Week posts tend to be of anything other than flowers and to be honest, I am slowly running out of flowers and will probably start revisiting some in hopefully creative ways. Anyway, this is a hoverfly which I was lucky enough to photograph with the eyes in focus. It seems like a…

Day 3: Hot Cherry.
Tried to create two environments here. Cold sky and warm reflection of the sun in the building in the background.
