Another Chronicle post. This photo is what started my “Glimpse” collection. This is my grandmother wearing an eye protector after her cataract surgery. She’s had cataracts for over 10 years so the result here was crucial. I just tried to capture the emotion.

This was my wallpaper for a while. I’m definitely making her look at the camera here, I loved the geometry of the stairs so had to try to fabricate the shot.

Smoke on the Water. (#40234)
The first photography all-nighter I pulled. Started off with droplet photos on a baking tray (none good), ended up with magenta printer ink in some water in a glass.

Diwali. (#40136)
Apparently the biggest Diwali festival in Europe is in Leicester. There were 100s of people some of whom managed to stay completely still throughout the 20 second exposure! P.S.: Celebrating 2000 hits recorded yesterday since the start of this blog in february. Almost 500 hits this month alone!

Bang! (#40055)
Result of one of the photography society workshops. We waited for a foggy night and decided to photograph some eerie scenes in the park. We came across this little isle of trees and I had the idea to put a flash behind it. What you see here is a long exposure with 10+ flash fires.
