Diwali. (#40136)
Apparently the biggest Diwali festival in Europe is in Leicester. There were 100s of people some of whom managed to stay completely still throughout the 20 second exposure! P.S.: Celebrating 2000 hits recorded yesterday since the start of this blog in february. Almost 500 hits this month alone!

People Are Strange.
I’m always very self conscious about taking photos of people. It’s difficult not to come across as a creep, especially being male. I also hate using spot colouring but I really wanted to bring out the colour of her dress whereas the background looked much better in black and white. As for the title –…

London Town.
Since my aim for this trip was to capture photos with no tourists in the way, this was the final successful shot before our meal in chinatown.

Eye’m In the 70’s?
Had a bit of fun in lightroom with this one to make it different from my other shots from the day. Tried to make it look like a shot from a film(analog)-film(movie)… From the 70’s, as if it was recreated in the 90’s… (hence the blue tint rather than reddish purple).

Trinket.
Although obscenely overpriced. These cheap shiny things make quite nice bokeh. It’s a shame shop owners ban photography of their “work” (bulk buying for 1p/crate) by placing the official Piece of Paper with some ink on it.

Fake Still Effort.
Always nice to get a positive response from people you photograph. Shame the intended subject were the ice cream cones.
