COLOUR! These ‘glimpse’ shots are usually B/W though some, like this one I prefer in colour. For me, colour makes a much better mood setter in a photo than exposure.

I love to show hands in portraits because of how important they are in body language – the only type of communication possible between a photograph and the audience.

Graveyard (#25727)
So we broke into the Leicester Graveyard… well… not exactly. We got there at 8 and stayed until 11 – after the gates have closed so had to climb over the fence and avoid CCTV… It’s an amazing place for a photo-shoot anyway, if a little creepy.

Back to portraits: I guess this is a pretty cheap editing strategy but I like how high contrast, dark black and white portraits can change the mood of a photo.
