Slightly more distortion than on the Canon 50mm but the picture quality is virtually the same. Not much loss in detail on the edges and a general pleasant look.

This is my manual alternative to the Canon 50mm F1.8. I use this for filming since manual lenses have much smoother focusing rings which make my job easier when pulling focus. I’m not sure how but photos from the lens come out very matted and almost polarised. The sheen off the building in the background is attractive here but would look much less so from any of my other lenses.

For a manual lens this is very sharp, at least in the middle. You can see that on the edges the focus softens but again, it’s just another effect you can use to your advantage.
